Why the price works
Why bespoke can cost this little.
Bespoke software is usually expensive because each feature is built through five layers, from database to screen, then reviewed and deployed. The same is true if you build it yourself with Claude: it still has to get every layer right, and you still have to host it. Mantle handles those layers for every Thogits app, the app is hosted here, and you can connect Claude to write on top. The build time goes into what your business actually needs.

What happens on the discovery call?
It's a free 30-minute video or phone call. You describe how your business runs and where it hurts. We ask questions and tell you honestly whether Thogits fits and which price band it's likely to land in. If it fits, the next step is a discovery visit.
Is there a charge for the discovery visit and quote?
The discovery visit, the written scope and the fixed quote are free, with no obligation.
How is the price fixed?
After the discovery visit you receive a written scope and a fixed quote. If the scope stays the same, the price stays the same. New ideas during the build are welcome; we quote them separately so you stay in control.
What does the subscription cost on top?
Your team pays the Thogits subscription of NZ$50 per seat per month, incl. GST. It covers every app in your workspace, hosting and updates, plus 10,000 records and 1 GB of storage per seat, shared across the team. AI usage is paid with prepaid credits, billed close to cost.
Can you bring across our existing data?
Yes. Standard and Complex builds include migration from spreadsheets, CSV exports and tools that can export data. On a Starter build, migration can be added as a quoted extra.
Why not use Claude?
You can. The advantage is the engine and the hosting, not the AI. Connect Claude or the built-in builder and the app is live for your team straight away. On your own, Claude still has to get the whole stack right, and you still have to deploy it.
Can we change it ourselves later?
Yes. Ask the built-in AI, connect Claude or another agent, build new apps yourself, install recipes from the marketplace, or ask us.
Do you work outside Auckland?
We're based in Auckland and visit businesses across the city. Anywhere else in New Zealand, the discovery visit happens by video or on a planned trip.
What if we grow?
Add people and apps at any time. Every new person is a seat, and every app in the workspace is included.
