CRM

A CRM for people who don't need HubSpot

Keep customers, contacts, and next actions in one place — without enterprise HubSpot or a spreadsheet pretending to be a CRM.

For Founders and small teams who need a customer list they will actually use, not a marketing automation suite.. Replaces HubSpot · a spreadsheet CRM.

The problem

You have customers. You have people at those customers. You have a next step you keep forgetting. That is a CRM. You do not have a demand-gen machine, a lead-scoring model, or a reason to live in HubSpot’s settings.

So the CRM becomes a spreadsheet. One tab for companies, one for contacts, a column called “status” that means three different things, and a “last contacted” date nobody updates. The real story is in email threads and someone’s head. When that person is out, the pipeline is a rumour.

HubSpot would fix the rumour if you were willing to become a HubSpot company — forms, sequences, properties, and a dashboard for a team you do not have. You wanted to know who you sold to, who you owe a reply, and what you promised.

How Thogits is that system

You describe the CRM you actually run. Thogits stores companies, people, and deals as records and builds pages on them: a pipeline, a follow-up list, a company page. The screens are not a HubSpot clone. They are pages on your records, so you can add the field you actually use — retainer date, preferred contact, “don’t call on Fridays” — without a property-migration project.

Invite the team. Everyone in the workspace sees the same customers. There are no per-record permissions. Fine for a founder, a salesperson, and whoever answers the phone. Wrong for a large org that needs to hide accounts from each other.

An assistant can work those records in chat, by email, or on a phone call. Log a conversation after you hang up. Ask what is overdue. Draft a follow-up from the last note. It does not send SMS.

A scheduled job can list stale deals or people you have not touched this week. It does not fire the instant a field changes.

The workspace syncs across web and iOS. There is no offline mode. If you already have an agent elsewhere, MCP can read and write these records — nothing else.

What you actually use

A small-team CRM in Thogits is usually four objects and a few pages.

  • Company — name, stage, owner, next action, notes.
  • Contact — name, role, email, phone, linked company.
  • Deal (if you sell that way) — amount, stage, close date, linked company.
  • Note or activity — what was said, when, and which person it belongs to.

Pages you open:

  • A pipeline of companies or deals by stage.
  • Follow-ups due — next action date is in the past.
  • Company detail — contacts, open deals, recent notes, related tickets or invoices if you track those too.
  • Contact detail — how to reach them, last conversation, what you promised.

Example: a company in “proposal sent,” owner Maya, next action Friday, two contacts (finance and ops), and a note from last Tuesday: “waiting on budget, call after the 12th.” You open the company and that is all there. You do not hunt a spreadsheet row, an email, and a Slack reminder.

Ask the assistant: “Who have we not spoken to in two weeks?” or “Log that I called Alex, they’re in until Thursday.” Same records the pipeline shows.

Why this instead of HubSpot or a spreadsheet

HubSpot is strong when marketing, sales, and success share one machine and someone owns it. If you do not have that team, you will ignore most of it and still pay for the feeling of a “real CRM.”

A spreadsheet is honest until it isn’t. No history, no links, no way for an assistant to update a row from a call, and a status column that rots.

A spreadsheet CRM or a gallery of pages still leaves you doing the follow-up yourself.

Thogits is the boring version: customers as records, screens that match how you sell, and an assistant that can log and chase on a schedule. Keep HubSpot if you need their marketing stack. Keep the spreadsheet until the first time a deal lives only in someone’s inbox.
