Personal

A personal OS that isn't another dump

Run tasks, notes, and people in one personal workspace — the same engine as the business use, not a second-brain hobby.

For People who already run their life across a wiki, a todo app, and a notes vault that do not talk to each other.. Replaces Obsidian · TickTick.

The problem

Your life is in a wiki. Areas, projects, a tasks database, a people database, a journal you have not opened since January. It looks like a system. It is a set of pages you maintain.

Then TickTick for the list you will actually tap. Obsidian for “real” notes. Calendar for dates. The second brain is several brains. Capture happens in the wrong one. You spend Sunday moving items so the setup stays pretty.

You do not need a new aesthetic. You need one place for the things you track — tasks, notes, people, projects — that you can talk to when you are not in the mood to maintain a dashboard.

How Thogits is that system

This is the same engine someone might use for tickets or a CRM. Personal use is not a cut-down toy. You describe how you run your life. Thogits stores those things as records and builds pages on them: today, a person page, a notes list.

An assistant can add a task, file a note, or look someone up in chat, by email, or on a phone call. “Remind me to book the dentist next week.” “What did I say I’d send Alex?” “Log that the boiler’s booked for Thursday.” It writes the same records the screens show. It does not send SMS.

A scheduled job can send you today’s list or a weekly review. It does not fire the instant you tick a box.

Everything syncs across web and iOS. There is no offline mode, and no local vault. If you already run an agent elsewhere, MCP can read and write records — that is all.

You can invite someone you share life admin with. Everyone in the workspace sees the same records. There are no per-record permissions. Fine for a household that already trusts each other. Wrong if you wanted a private journal next to a shared chores list with different access.

What you actually use

A personal setup in Thogits is usually the same shapes as work, named for life.

  • Task — title, due, status, area (home, health, admin, work-adjacent).
  • Note — a durable page: recipes for a trip, a decision, a how-to for yourself.
  • Person — people you need to remember: family, landlord, GP, friends you owe a reply.
  • Project — anything with more than one step: move house, tax return, a side thing.

Pages you open:

  • Today — tasks due, plus anything overdue.
  • Inbox — captured, not sorted.
  • People — who they are, last note, open tasks linked to them.
  • Notes — searchable pages, linked to a person or project when they should be.

Example: person “Alex,” note from last month “owes me the deposit details,” task “send Alex the invoice” due Friday, project “flat admin.” You open Alex and that is together. You did not keep the person in one app, the task in TickTick, and the note in Obsidian.

Ask the assistant from the car: “Add pick up dry cleaning today” or “What’s open on the tax return?” Same workspace you open on the laptop later.

Why this instead of a wiki, Obsidian, or TickTick

Most personal operating systems look finished and then rot. A writing surface you maintain. A weak place to complete a task while walking. You already know the maintenance cost.

Obsidian is files on disk and a graph. It is not a shared, synced system of record, and it will not tick a task from a phone call.

TickTick is a list. It will not be your people or your notes.

One set of records, pages on them, and an assistant that can actually add and complete. Same product as the business use. Start with the few objects you already track.
