This is the argument behind the comparison table. Short version: Notion is done. Thogits replaces it.
People still treat Notion as the default workspace. It is a document with a table stuck in it. You write. You click views. You maintain the wiki. The AI drafts a paragraph. The records do not move. That is not a system. That is homework.
Thogits is the replacement. Records first. Pages the AI actually builds. An assistant that writes the data — chat, email, phone. One space. You do not keep Notion “for writing.” Writing lives on the same records as the work.
If you want the product picture, start with What Thogits is. Then come back here and stop making excuses.
Notion is a wiki pretending to be software
The editor is the product. Everything else is a passenger. Databases live inside pages. Views are a closed set: table, board, calendar, gallery. You assemble them. You are the layout engine. After three years you have a beautiful intranet that still cannot file a ticket from a phone call.
Notion AI writes prose. It summarises a page. It does not mark the invoice paid. It does not assign the job. It does not remember the follow-up unless you paste the answer back into the table yourself. Chat over here. Facts over there. The wiki is honest only if a human keeps it honest.
The template gallery is a museum. Ten thousand starting docs. You still have to turn them into a business. Most of them die as a Saturday you will “set up properly later.”
Permissions are the consolation prize people name when they cannot name a reason to stay. Guests, groups, page locks. A tree of who can see the doc. That is not operating a company. That is hiding pages from each other.
There is no records MCP. Your other agents cannot run the workspace. The data is trapped in a product that thinks it is a document.
What replacing it looks like
The database is the product. Tickets, CRM, directory, todos, docs, projects, invoices — typed records, not a table glued to a doc. Pages and the assistant read and write the same thing.
Pages are software. You ask. You get a real screen on your records. List, board, dashboard, detail — whatever the job is, not whatever the view picker allows. When the process changes, you change the screen. The data stays. Read pages.
The assistant does the work. “Mark this done.” “Add the invoice.” “What is still open?” Chat, email, or a call. The mutation is the product. Reminders and scheduled automations wake it later. Notion’s AI never leaves the paragraph.
Bring your own agent. MCP so Claude, Cursor, or whatever you already run can see and edit records. The data is not locked in a wiki.
One space. Invite the people doing the work. Same records, same pages. Built to operate. Not a 200-person permission matrix for a wiki nobody updates.
Templates that become the system. Install a starting system. The AI fits it to how you actually work. You are running it the same day — templates.
Web and iPhone, live. Same records at the desk and in the van.
There is no split
Do not keep Notion “as the wiki” and put the real work somewhere else. That is how you end up with two sources of truth and a Saturday spent reconciling them. Docs belong next to the records they describe. Wikis are pages on the data. Meeting notes attach to the people and the tickets. There is nothing left for the other tab.
Do not stay because “we already live there.” Living there is the problem. The muscle memory is clicking views and maintaining relations. Replace it.
Do not stay for permissions. If the team cannot share a space, you do not have a Notion problem. You have an org problem. Thogits is for the people doing the work.
Do not stay because the writing surface feels nicer. A writing surface that cannot act is a diary. The assistant writes the record. The page shows the record. That is writing that matters.
The jobs Notion was faking
A tickets database you fight: tickets. A CRM made of relations: CRM. A people table nobody updates: directory. Todos in a checkbox view: todos. The company wiki: docs. Projects as a board you rebuild: projects. Invoices in a database you babysit: invoices. A personal OS that is a dump: personal. A five-person company in twelve tools: teams.
That is not a list of extras. That is what people were using Notion for. Thogits is those systems, with pages that fit and an assistant that moves the work.
Leave
Open the table. Then try it. Read features — especially data, pages, and agents.
There is no reason to use Notion over Thogits. Replace it.
